About
CSWare aims to be a fun minigames modification like a cross between Mario Party and WarioWare. Initially inspired by TF2Ware I was fairly unimpressed with the horrible monolithic code that made it up so I set out to write my own. As someone who plays more CSS recently than any other source based game I've designed it to work with CSS, however there is no reason why this cannot be generified in the future to work across all source engine games. It's designed to be somewhat modular and aims to be relatively configurable so it should be a simple matter of editing a config file to set up an order of minigames and all you need to do to enable/disable a game is simply add/remove the plugin to your sourcemod install.

An example of the game in action:

Games - At the moment, there are three kinds of games which can be registered with the core plugin. A minigame (such as shooting a target), a modifier (such as speeding up the game) and boss games.

Minigames are designed to be short (ie, 5-10 seconds), quick and fun along the lines of WarioWare games where you have a simple objective with some form of indication (either obvious or not) as to what the players need to do to earn points. If you've never played WarioWare I'd suggest taking a look at some gameplay videos to get the general idea.

Modifiers are things which modify gameplay to add a challenging or fun/silly element. Initially I was only going to implement this as a speed up mechanism, however there is no reason other modifiers like a big head mode, or everyone is chickens couldn't be implemented to add an extra bit of stupidity. TF2Ware had another feature for special rounds which could do things such as you 'won' if you didn't score points in a game which I eventually plan to implement via modifiers.

And finally, boss levels are longer and more involved/challenging games which could be anything from navigating an obstacle course to a giant game of jumprope.

For a list of current included games, please see the github repo.

Objective - Currently the way you win overall is by reaching a set amount of points (via a cvar), however I'm also considering options such as whoever has the most amount of points at the end of the set order of games wins. TF2Ware was also only designed to run a single map at a time, however all my games are designed in such a way that there is no reason more maps couldn't be designed and rotated through to add variety to the game as well.

Dependencies
Sound Info Library extension - Required to run the game
Smart Download Manager include - Only required for compilation (included in github)
More Colours include - Only required for compilation (included in github)

CVars
csware_enabled - 0/1 - Sets whether csware is enabled
csware_minplayers - Number - Minimum players required to start csware games
csware_scorelimit - Number - Someone 'wins' when they get this many points

Commands
csware_games - Lists loaded games
csware_order - Lists order of games

Download
The latest version of CSWare will always be available on GitHub: https://github.com/eggsampler/csware

Installation

Make sure you have installed the required dependancies to run the game

Copy all files from github into your CS folder

Compile the map using Hammer

Compile the plugins in the scripting folder and copy them to your plugins folder

If you want to change any of the CVars, do so via sourcemod.cfg (currently doesn't create it's own config file)

If you want to change the order of games, edit the sourcemod/configs/csware.cfg file

Todo

Eventually I plan on generifying the code and supporting other source games such as CS:GO and TF2, however this may be a while away as I am initially focusing on development in CSS.

Map improvements, both visual and gameplay wise however I'm not too worries about looks at this point

More games of all types

Better stats system for flat files or via sql db

Investigate distribution via vpk

More options for configuration and settings

Notes
Please note, as this plugin is in a very early beta state I will not be providing compiled versions of the map or plugins. Once it's more in a stable state I will be tagging branches with compiled versions for easy access and download. I also don't guarantee this will work for you, in fact it's entirely likely it won't work at all if you don't know what you are doing. As work progresses I plan on doing a bit more documentation but for now the code is relatively simple to follow. If you have any ideas or suggestions feel free to post.

Apologies in advance if I have missed anything or not posted correctly.
